Doris Hill

          Doris Hill, 80, of Desloge, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.  She was born March 10, 1942, in Little Walnut, MO, to the late William Otto and Flossie Annie (Frazier) Powers.  Doris was a retired educator of 31 years from North County School District and continued to substitute for the district, another 19 years.  She dedicated 50 years of service to the North County School District.  Doris was a member of the Desloge Library Board.  She was an avid reader and she loved to travel.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 51 years, Bill Hill; brother, Tommy Powers and his wife, Judy.

          Doris was a devoted mother to her children, Mike Hill and wife Kim, Chris Hill and wife Julie, Lori Kohm and husband Richard; loving grandmother to Grant Hill, Alison (Adam) Griffith, Nolan Hill, Sydney Kohm and Jared Kohm.  Doris is also survived by one brother,  Robert Powers and wife Dena; aunt, Vivian “Moe” Barks; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, October 24, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The visitation will resume Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 9:00 AM until the service time of 12:00 PM.  Reverend Chuck Lotz will be officiating.  Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.  Memorials may be directed to the Bill Hill Counseling Crisis Fund.
