Doris Lee Foster, 77, of Kernersville, NorthCarolina, formerly of Bonne Terre passed away April 1, 2014 at Forsyth MedicalCenter in Winston Salem, NC. She was born May 4, 1936 in Bonne Terre to thelate Howard E. and Zora M. (Sumpter) Hawkins. Also preceding her in death washer husband, Dr. J. L. Foster; step-son, Robert Foster; daughter-in-law,Veronica Foster; brothers and sisters, Howard "Bud" Hawkins, Jackie Hawkins,Maxine Hawkins in infancy, Peggy Guidorzi, James Hawkins; sister-in-law, JeanHawkins.Doris is survived by four children, James Foster ofCape Coral, FL, Joseph (Lea) Foster of Kernersville, NC, Jennifer Foster ofWakarusa, IN, Dr. John (Tricia) Foster of Wakarusa, IN; two step-children, Kathryn(Richard) Byington of Bonne Terre, Jack (Alba) Foster of Weston, FL; nineteengrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Stella) Hawkins ofBonne Terre; two sisters, Sue Puder of St. Louis and Beverly Finley ofSpringfield, MO. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, April12, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphyofficiating. Inurnment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery. Memorials may bemade to the Parkland Health Center Foundation.
