Doris Alma Vallow

Doris Alma (Ruehrup) Vallow, age 90, of Terre Du Lac, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at NHC of Town and Country.  She was born June 25, 1929 to the late Christian and Gertrude (Steinmeyer) Ruehrup in Staunton, Illinois. Doris met the love of her life, Robert Vallow, in 1946 and united in marriage on December 28, 1947. Doris was a master embroider and completed many projects. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.

Doris is survived by her children, Michael and wife Michelle Vallow and Joyce and husband Jerry Gwillim; three grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

 There will be a private family visitation on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Doris Vallow will be laid to rest with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorial donations may be made to Speak St. Louis or charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
