Donnie Payne

        Donterry “Donnie” Payne, 62, of Shiloh, IL, of Christian faith, departed this life for eternal salvation on March 19, 2020. He was born September 16, 1957, in Chicago, IL, to the late Otis Lee and Marvella (Fisher) Payne.  

        He served in the United States Air Force in vehicle maintenance control and law enforcement fields. He was very proud to be selected to serve as a member of the United States Air Force Elite Guard. He retired after serving 21 years.

        Donnie enjoyed football, basketball, boxing and occasionally wrestling. He loved working on all automobiles but was especially fond of Chevy cars.  Donnie was quick witted and could tell jokes that would put you in stitches.

        He is survived by his wife Carrie R. Payne; one son, Tyran Payne of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Vanessa Payne; two brothers, Maurice and Anthony Payne; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Tyrone Payne.

        PRIVATE Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, MO on Monday, March 23, 2020 from 12:00 PM until the PRIVATE Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.  Private interment will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St Louis, MO.
