Donald Upchurch

            Donald UpChurch, 75, of Desloge, passed away, July 30, 2017 at Mercy Jefferson in Crystal City. He was born August 23, 1941 in Bonne Terre, to the late Jacob and Mildred “Gertrude” (McCarty) UpChurch. Donald retired from Pea Ridge Mines after 35 years. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert, Melvin and Larry UpChurch, Clarence McCarty, and Nancy Pirtle. 

            Donald is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judith Ann “Judy” (Petty) UpChurch, they were married on July 31, 1963; children, Theresa Buxton and husband Joe, Bruce (Kimberly Bowdern) UpChurch; grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan Buxton, Alysha, and Marissa UpChurch; and sister, Dorothy Clark. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Interment will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
