Donald Lee King

Mr. Donald Lee King passed away Sunday morning, September 4, 2016, at his rural Farmington residence at the age of 79 years and 19 days. Don was born August 15, 1937, in St. Francois Co., MO., & was the son of Edward Elmo King (Dec'd 2013) and Elvie Lorine 'Miller' King (Dec'd 2002). Also preceding-in-death was his father-in-law, Luther E. Kennon & brother-in-law, Jim Finch, and a nephew, James Dwayne Finch.

Don was united in marriage to Marilyn R. Kennon on Aug. 29, 1955. Don was a member of Local #1795 Carpenter's Union for 55 years, a Dairy Farmer and a member of The Libertyville Masonic Lodge.

Survivors Include : his wife of 61 years, Marilyn R. 'Kennon' King, of Farmington. 2 sons - Steven L. (& Cindy) King, of Farmington, and Stanley R. (& Virginia) King, of Farmington. 3 sisters - Louise (& Ray) Caringer, of Highlandville, MO; Mary Finch, of Farmington, and Linda Clinger, of Arkansas. 1 brother - William Edward (& Jan) King, of Wappapello, MO. His mother-in-law, Nina L. Kennon, of Farmington. 2 sister-in-laws: Margaret (& Charles) Scheureman, of Florida; Joyce (& William) Lix, of Farmington. 4 grandchildren - Raymond Lee (& Terry Berghaus) King; Matthew N. (& Bethany Portell) King; William Cody King (& Madison Kowalski), and Lauren M. King. Also, 3 great-grandchildren: Kaylee Rae, Erin Ruth and Adelaide Louise.

Visitation : Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., Visitation resumes, Wednesday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., September 7, 2016

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. David Wright and Chaplain Scott Edgar officiating

Interment follows at : Three Rivers Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve County
