Donald Henry Bohr

Donald Henry Bohr, 83, of Mineral Point, passed away on April 4, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born December 22, 1939, in St. Louis, to the late Henry Nicholas and Mary Elizabeth (Frazer) Bohr.  Donald was a longtime member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Park Hills, as well as a 55-year member of the Local 1, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  He enjoyed buying vintage cars and going to watch his granddaughter’s activities.  Donald had a big heart, great sense of humor, and loved helping others.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis (Eaton) Bohr; brother, Doug Newman; sisters-in-law, Juanita Bohnenkamp and Erma Frazier; brothers-in-law, Dallas, Darman, and Vernon Eaton and Clarence Dixon.

Donald is survived by his loving daughter, Jobie Bohr; granddaughter, Isabella Sylvia Alvey-Bohr; one brother, Thomas Newman and wife Ceclia; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Dixon; and brother-in-law, Robert Eaton.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, April 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.  Pastor Josh Vandergraph will be officiating, assisted by Lloyd Pierce.  Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.  Memorials may be directed to the Kidney Foundation.
