Donald Farrell Gibson Sr.

Donald Farrell Gibson Sr., 77 of Desloge, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.He was born September 25, 1934 in Desloge to the late Bryan Lynn and Ruby Beatrice (Wood) Gibson.Donnie proudly served his country in The United States Army. He was a charter member of the Mineral Area Elks Lodge, a member of the Elvins Ionic Lodge and had a dual membership with Samaritan Lodge.Donnie was widely known as a General Contractor in our area. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Vernon, Bobbie, and Eddie Gibson. Donnie is survived by wife, Joanne L. (Smith) Gibson; children, Donald Farrell Gibson Jr., Terri Jo Gibson, and Tammy Gibson; grandchildren, Cameron and Collin Vasquez, Paige and Bailey Gibson; twin brother, Ronald Darrell "Button" (Juanita) Gibson; sister, Patsy Forrester. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge Thursday, May 17, 2012 beginning at 5pm. A Masonic service will be at 7 pm followed by funeral services at 7:15 pm. Interment will be 10:30 am Friday, May 18, 2012 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
