Don Smith

Don Smith, 65 of Desloge, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his residence.He was born August 23, 1947 in Waynesville.Don served his Country in the United States Air Force.He later retired, after 33 years, from the Missouri State Department of Corrections, as a Unit Manager. He is preceded in death by parents, Logan Ellis and Betty Lou (Messersmith) Smith. Don is survived by wife, Patricia Ann (Hardt) Smith of Desloge; son, Dustin (Amber) Smith of Bonne Terre; daughters, Tina (Mrs. Dave) Thomas of Florida, Misty (Steve Siebert) Smith of St. Elizabeth; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John and Roger Smith, both of Colorado. The family will accept friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2013 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. The service will follow immediately at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Danny Berry officiating.Full Military Honors will be performed in addition to Potosi Correctional Facility Honor Guard.In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to a cancer organization of personal choice.
