Don Roney

Don Roney, 64, of Leadwood passed away May 11, 2015. He was born in St. Louis on June 19, 1950, to the late James Lawrence and Cleta Opal (Blankenship) Roney. Don served his country in The United States Navy. Don is survived by his children Erik Roney, Sarah Roney and husband Clinton Moore, and Jessika Roney with fiancé Hanna Joplin; grandchildren Devihn, Kaley, Juli, and Sophia; brothers Jimmy Roney, Arthur Roney and wife Merry, Frank Roney and wife Rhonda, Darren Roney, Dennis Roney and wife Kellie; sisters Sharon Roney, Karen Roney-Schnabel, Cleta Cash and husband Leslie, Katherine Horton and husband Danny, Joan Brewer, Kerry Glore and husband David, Shirley Peoples and husband Danny, Mary Roney and boyfriend Mike Coleman. Don was lovingly known as Uncle Don to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Last but certainly not least, he will be missed by his brother from another mother, Don Truska. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Desloge with Rev.
