Dennis Charles Toenjes

Dennis Charles Toenjes, Sr., 73, of French Village, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at his residence. Dennis was born April 10, 1947, to the late Robert and Helen (Hetzel) Toenjes in Red Bud, Illinois. Dennis loved to learn about history and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He proudly served our country in The United States Marine Corps.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Schrum) Toenjes; children, Jacob Toenjes and John and his wife Kelsie Hensel; grandsons, Liam, Noah, and Hunter Hensel; granddaughter, Katie-Anne Toenjes; brothers, Terry Toenjes and Thomas and wife Pat Toenjes; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

There will be a memorial visitation held Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10 AM until 11 AM for a Celebration of Life service at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. Inurnment to follow at Brown Cemetery in Black, Missouri.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation P.0. Box 955423 St. Louis, Missouri 63195-5423  in memory of Dennis. Please follow local recommendations for face coverings and social distancing during this event.
