David Welch, 42, of Bonne Terre, passed away, January 29, 2018 at Missouri Baptist in St. Louis. He was born June 21, 1975, in a U.S. Army Hospital in Okinawa, Chatan-son, Japan, to Charles Edward and Eliza (Blea) Welch. David attended The Bridge Community Church, he was a devoted father and hero to his son Ethan. He loved spending time with his son, the two were inseparable and could often be found at either softball or youth baseball games. David was well known throughout the community by being co-owner of B & D Auto Parts in Bonne Terre and 2D Sports. He was also a co-coach for the Combat baseball team. He had many friends, family and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Earl and Verna Welch, and Moises and Soledad Blea.
David is survived by his; son, Ethan Welch; parents, Charles and Eliza Welch; three sisters, Tanya Welch Dickerman and husband Bob, Valerie Winkler, and Pamela Herzog and husband David; nephews, Austin Winkler, Wyatt Herzog, and Logan Herzog; niece, Amber Winkler; and girlfriend, Karie Bayless.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Brother Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
