David Wayne Catron, entered eternal rest, Friday, January 19, 2024, at the age of 68, at his residence in St. Charles, Missouri. David was born, Thursday, February 3, 1955 in Harlingen, Texas., to the late Walter Reese and Mary F. (Carroll) Catron. David proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his late parents, brother, Walter R. Catron; sisters Joyce Marie Burch, Beverly Lynn Hankins, and Wanda G. May.
David’s adventurous spirit led him to teach English in China for five years, where he became involved in the lives of his students. His love for music flowed into guitar melodies and soulful songs. But above all, David’s greatest treasure was his children and granddaughters. Having a humble and patient heart lead him to have many friends and acquaintances in his life time. David will be dearly missed by his countless friends.
David is survived by his loving children; Abigail Stinger husband Joseph; son, Emmett Catron, and the mother of his children Helen Catron; two granddaughters, Clementine, and Scarlett Stinger; and brother, Richard Scott Catron.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
