David Leon Samuels, Sr.

David Leon Samuels, Sr., 65 of Farmington passed away April 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 23, 1958, in Jacksonville, Floridia to the late Arlester and Alberta (Williams) Samuels. David enjoyed traveling, playing the lottery, making people laugh and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his family and will be remembered for always having a smile on his face. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, La Tonya Lively; brother, Arthur Samuels, Sr.; and sisters, Delores Ervin and Ilan Samuels.

David is survived by his wife, Lisa (Cagle) Samuels; children, Shameka Asberry (Shawn), Michael Asberry (Melissa), David Samuels Jr., Shantel Sky, Chasity Star and Grace Gilbert; stepchildren Tiffiney Easley, Nicholas Ancira, Cameron Ancira, and Dewayne Easley; special grandchild, Nylah Ancira of MO; 18 grandchildren of FL; 2 grandchildren of OK; 3 great-grandchildren of FL; four brothers, Austine “Sam” Samuels, Johnny Samuels, Lester Samuels, Ricky Samuels (Angela); sister, Rita Herington (Dr. John); brothers-in-law, Randy Cagle, Troy Cagle, Rusty Manes; sister-in-law, Tammy Cagle; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Danny Manes. Several nieces, nephews, other family, and friends also survive. 

 A visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
