David Carl Ketcherside

            David Ketcherside, age 68, of Bismarck, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020, at his residence. David was born on Thursday, May 22, 1952, in Sabula to the late Glen “Mutt” Ketcherside and Bernice Iva (Hughes) Drennon.   David served his country in the United States Army and later became a carpenter.

             In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia (Henderson) Ketcherside; son, David Gene Ketcherside; siblings, Lloyd and Freddie Ketcherside, Vivian Crocker, Joyce Goforth, Donna Pratt, Betty Conway, Terry Crocker, Richard Swonger, Peggy Jolly, Mary Lou Eckhoff and Judy Drennon.

            David is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Smith) Ketcherside; children, Michael Eichenberger, Dink Ketcherside, Derrick Ketcherside, Vivian Ketcherside and Missy Ketcherside; sisters, Becky (Wayne) Forshee and Barbara (Jerry Bob) Lawson; twenty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.    

           Visitation will be held at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Leadwood on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 9:00 AM until Service time of 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Leadwood with Rev. Mike Barton officiating. Burial to follow at Leadwood Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

             David was the foundation of his family. His greatest legacy that he leaves behind is his family and the many other lives that he touched and influenced. It gives us great comfort to know that he was saved and is now in heaven watching over us.
