Darryl K. Gerstner

Darryl Keith Gerstner, 71, of Bonne Terre passed away March 16, 2012. He was born April 28, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO. Darryl proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired from the United States Post Office in Affton, MO. He never met a stranger and will be remembered for his love of talking and laughing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Elizabeth (Wallace) Gerstner and brother, John Gerstner. Darryl is survived by his wife, Maureen (Peirano) Gerstner; daughter, Julia (Mrs. David) Woeltje of Cape Girardeau; son, John Gerstner of Arnold; three grandsons, Adam, Alex and Andrew; sister, Frankie Danbury of Las Vegas, NV. He will also be missed by many other family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Memorial Service will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of his great-nephew, Ethan Salazar.
