Darlean Elders

Darlean Elders, 78 of Desloge, passed away September 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 14, 1936 in Leadwood, to the late Asa and Elizabeth (Mason) Henson. Darlean has been a member of Desloge First Baptist Church for 47 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher for over 60 years, an avid Cardinal baseball fan, retired from U.S. Tool in 1992, and enjoyed fishing and traveling with her husband and family. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Darliss Henson and Kenneth Henson in infancy. Darlean is survived by her loving husband, of 56 years, Fred W. Elders; sons, Jim Elders and Chuck Elders of Park Hills, Doug Elders and wife Kay Lynn of Pacific; six grandchildren, Amey, Mindy, Stephanie, Andy, Luke, and Mark; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Henson and wife Kazuko of O'Fallon IL; sister in-law, Joan Henson. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume Friday, September 19, 2014 at 9:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Desloge, with service at 10:00 AM. Pastor Bradford Laubinger will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Family Ministry Center at Desloge First Baptist Church.
