Dannie Leo Pitts

Dannie Leo Pitts, 85, of Desloge passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 25, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 21, 1939, in Cooks Station Missouri.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Pitts and Roselee (Martin) Polys; sister Alice Peart and daughter Maria Williams.

Dannie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, in his earlier years he enjoyed taking care of and raising his quarter horses, along with hunting and fishing. He found solace in nature taking care of his 25 acres of land by the Big River. Dannie's heart was always full when surrounded by his family and grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly. He had a special affection for all babies, including his beloved fur babies, Sam and Boomer, who were his constant companions until his final days.

Dannie is survived by his loving wife Judy (Tyner) Pitts of 41 years; children, Danny Pitts and wife Pamela, Pamela Weisler and husband Dale, Tom Pitts and wife Karolyn and Susan Pedretti; Ten grandchildren, Gaby Pedretti, Tyner Galick (Peter), Brett Pitts, Danielle Pitts, Jake Pedretti-Price, Melody Brown, Lucas Pedretti-Price, Ashlyn Pitts, Emma Pitts and Eli Pitts; Sisters, Bonnie Toennies and husband Marvin, and Glenda Payne, along with numerous nieces, nephews and family members. 

Dannie’s wishes were for a private Celebration of Life with his family. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge.
