Daniel Byrd Furlong, 85, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born December 26, 1938, in Marion, Illinois, to the late Byrd and Helen (Pillow) Furlong.
Dan studied at Logan University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic. He then went into finances where he worked and later retired as a Financial Advisor with the Principal Financial Group. Dan enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, scuba diving, but his greatest love was for the Lord and his family.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Furlong.
Dan is survived by the love of his life of 60 years, Kathleen (Cagle) Furlong; adoring daughters, Rachelle (Kirk) Ankrom, and Pamela (Michael) Johnson; grandchildren, Morgan (Zach) Morris, Jordan (Alana) Ankrom, Danielle (Logan) Field, Derek Hankins, Free Johnson, Gabe Johnson, River Johnson; great-grandchildren, Bryan Field, Micah Morris; along with other family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Parkland Chapel on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 9 AM until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 11 AM. Parkland Chapel is located at 1260 Karsch Blvd, Farmington, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. The Celebration of Life Service will be live streamed on the C.Z. Boyer & Son Facebook page beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024.
