Mr. Dan Richard Alcorn passed away early Monday morning, September 26, 2016, at The Baptist Home in Ironton, MO., at the age of 80. Dan was born August 20, 1936, in Leadwood, MO., & was the son of Harold Henry Alcorn, Sr., and Golden Marie 'Logan' Alcorn. Also preceding-in-death were: a sister, Laura Lawan Poucher. 3 brothers - Gordon Bernard Alcorn, Harold Henry Alcorn, Jr., & Michael Oliver Alcorn.
Dan was united in marriage to Barbara Edwina Harrington, on May 19, 1956. Dan was a US ARMY Veteran and a longtime, faithful member of Farmington First Baptist Church & Sunday School Director of Adult 4. Dan was a 50+ year member of The Masonic Lodge; The Farmington Lions Club; and Shriners Club. Dan served as President of the St. Francois County Senior Citizens Board. He also served on several local boards and donated time and service to provide relief to the disabled and elderly. He spent his career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and served as President of the state Rehabilitation Association.
Survivors Include: his wife of 60 years - Edwina Alcorn, of Farmington. A daughter, Patricia 'Patti' (& Joseph) Stenger, of St. Louis, MO. A son, Dennis Keith (& Debbie) Alcorn, of Santa Fe, TN. a brother, Timmy Leon Alcorn, of The Baptist Home, in Ironton, MO. 4 grandchildren: Emily Jo (& Matt) Owen, of St. Louis, MO; Ethan Clay (& Kelsey) Stenger, of Lamar, MO; Trent Michael Alcorn and Sean Keith Alcorn, of Tennessee. Also surviving are numerous other family and friends.

Saturday Visitation : 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Farmington First Baptist Church
Funeral : Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at : Farmington First Baptist Church, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Funeral & Military Honors will be performed at church by the Missouri Honors Team and LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders.
Private Interment @ Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery - St. Louis County, MO.
