Cindy (Roux) Smith

Cynthia Marie (Roux) Smith, 59, of Sullivan passed away October 1, 2014 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. She was born August 8, 1955 in Bonne Terre. Cindy was a very loving mother, who lived for her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Roux; brother, Randall Roux and sister, Betty Jean Roux. Cindy is survived by her mother, Betty Jane (Sitzes) Roux; significant other, Norman Gale; four children, Bryan Smith (Angie) of Steelville, Jennifer Hartzell (James) of Sullivan, Sarah Downey of Washington, Laura Hunter (Dustin) of Sullivan; ten grandchildren, Nicholas, Bailey, Devin, Joseph, Charles, William, Erica, Ammie, Eric, Ethan; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Baylon, Josie; three brothers, Thomas Roux (Janet), Darrell Roux (Sheila), Carl Roux (Kathy); two sisters, Charlotte (Roux) James, Sandra Blackwell (Bruce). Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery.
