Mr. Chester Ray Pickard passed away Friday morning, April 25, 2008, at his French Village residence at the age of 74 years, 4 months & 14 days. Chester was born Dec. 11, 1933, in Collinwood, TN., & the son of Olen & Velma 'Simmons' Pickard.
Chester was a member of the UAW & retired in 1987 after 30 years with General Motors. He was a member of Goose Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors Include : his wife, Hazel 'Allen' Pickard; 2 Daughters: Pamela Penrose, of Arnold, MO; Robin 'Mrs. David' Ditch, of Arnold, MO; 2 Sons: Alan (& Nancy) Pickard, of Ste. Genevieve; Keith (& Angie) Pickard, of Ste. Genevieve; 2 Brothers: Billy (& Jeannie) Pickard, of Campbell, MO; Donald (& Phyllis) Pickard, of Marble Hill, MO; 3 Sisters: Willadean Kettering, of Malden, MO; Shelby 'Mrs. William' Palmatory, of Festus, MO & Betty Kitterman, of St. Louis County. Also, 9 Grandchildren: Crystal, Dianna, Derek, Amanda, Cheston, Robert, Christopher, Laura & Kate & 4 Great-Grandchildren: Ryan, Jeremy, Kelsea & Skylar.
Visitation : Monday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday 6:30 - 9:00 a.m. @ TAYLOR CHAPEL. Visitation moves to Goose Creek Baptist Church, starting @ 10:00 a.m. - 12 Noon.
Funeral : Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., April 29, 2008
at : Goose Creek Baptist Church, (PO Boxs 194 - 6105 'Y' Hway - French Village, MO) with Rev. Edward DeSpain officiating.
Interment at : Crestlawn Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve.
Memorials to : Jefferson Memorial Hospice.
