Charmaine McFarland, 87, of Farmington passed away February 3, 2021. She was born January 1, 1934 in Elvins, MO. Charmaine was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington, where she sang in the choir and was also a member of Women of Mary. She also enjoyed helping with the St. Joseph Food Pantry, cake decorating, working crossword puzzles, reading and traveling to Florida. She was also a member of the Monday Book Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Grace (Politte) Cook; daughter, Laura Ann (McFarland) Gram; son-in-law, Brent Murdock; brother, Joseph “Joey” Cook; sister, Elaine Edwards; and one granddaughter in infancy.

Charmaine is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Floyd C. McFarland; three children, John S. McFarland and wife Cindy of Washington, MO, F. Patrick McFarland and wife Sharon of Cedar Hill, MO, Maria Murdock of Park Hills; six grandchildren, Megan, Evan, Ken, Rebecca, Sean and Lisa; five great-grandchildren, Makayla, Shae, Hutson, Jax and Neko.

Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington with Rev. William Thess officiating. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics. Facemasks or coverings are required at the funeral home and church.
