Charles William Vanmeter

Charles William VanMeter, 83 of Union, MO passed away December 13, 2012 at Ashbrook Manor in Farmington. He was born October 28, 1929 in Granite City, IL. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War and also retired from Anheuser Busch. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Leona (Lorentz) VanMeter and brother, Raymond VanMeter. Charles is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Mrs. David) Nichols of Bonne Terre; grandson, Jason Hickman; two granddaughters, Jenger Bell and Jamie Hickman; great-grandson, Eli Crump. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or Easter Seals.
