Charlie HoskingCharles R. Hosking Jr., 81, of Desloge passed away September 22, 2012 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1931 in Bonne Terre to the late Charles and Lucille (Miller) Hosking. Also preceding in death, brother, John Hosking; 1st wife Beverly Hosking and 2nd wife Brenda Hosking.Charlie was aretiree with the Doe Run Mining Company, he served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran.Charlie was very active with the Leadbelt Golf Course for numerous years; he was a past president of the Board of Directors. He was a member of the Desloge United Methodist Church. Charley is survived by his wife, Sherry (Wallen) Hosking; children, Bill Hosking of St. Louis, Bob and wife Sharon Hosking of Park Hills, Linda and husband Bo Snyder of Farmington, Kathy Hosking of Bonne Terre, Amy and husband Jim Carpenter of St. Louis, David and wife Julie Hosking of Bonne Terre, Krayle and husband Vic Adams of Mineral Point, Tracey Black and husband Jeff of Bonne Terre, Krista Long and husband Dave of Bonne Terre, Brian Dunlap and wife Sarah of Desloge, Kevin Penberthy and wife Kim of Bonne Terre, Kelly Penberthy of Desloge; 24 grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren.Visitation will be Tuesday September 25, 2012 from 4 to 9 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday September 26, 2012 at the C.Z. Boyer Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Edgar Greene officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Foundation or Disabled American Veterans.
