Charles "Mike" Ballew

            Mike Ballew, 69, of Farmington, passed away July 24, 2017 at home, surrounded by the ones he loved. He was born September 13, 1947 in St. Louis, to the late James W. and Oda Genova (Lawson) Ballew. Mike retired from Chrysler after 35 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob and Farmington Elks Lodge 1765. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, his family.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister in-law, Betty Ballew; and one brother in-law, Alfred Seaton.

            Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda (Moser) Ballew; children, Laura Parker, Michael Ballew and wife Nicki; four grandchildren, Toshia (Matthew) Grider, Ashley (Russell) Clay, Hunter Ballew, and Trevor Ballew; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Christopher, Carter, Cameron, and Parker; siblings, Jimmy Ballew and Gloria Seaton; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, other extended family members; and his loving buddy Digger. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, July 28, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with an Elk’s Service at 7:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Scott Edgar officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob.
