Charles D. Roberts

Charles D. Roberts, 83, of Terre Du Lac, passed awaySunday, November 24, 2013 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. He was bornSunday, February 23, 1930 in McClure, IL to the late Fred and Sarah (Draper)Roberts. In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by onebrother and two sisters. He was a Korean War Veteran. He attended SIUCarbondale where he graduated with a degree in accounting. During his career heserved as the administrator of the Bonne Terre Hospital. Once the hospitalpartnered with BJC Healthcare he transferred to Salem, IL and then to Vandalia,IL he retired with BJC after many years of service. Charles was a former comptrollerfor Terre Du Lac. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church inBonne Terre. Charles served the community in many ways including serving as apast North County school board president, Bonne Terre Chamber of CommercePresident, former Bonne Terre Rotarian, little league ball coach, Boy Scoutleader, and a former Bonne Terre Citizen of the Year. Charles is survived by his wife Arlene (Seibert)Roberts; two sons, Jeff Roberts and wife Robin of Festus, and Steve Roberts andwife Dawn of Desloge; grandchildren, Jonathan Faith and wife Danielle, KyleRoberts, Chad Faith, Erin Roberts, Ashlynne Roberts, Alyssa Faith, and HaleyRoberts.Visitation will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from4:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapelin Bonne Terre with Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating. Interment is scheduled forFriday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
