Mr. Cecil Elmer Trogdon, longtime Farmington businessman, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 13, 2001, at Community Manor Nursing Home, Farmington, at the age of 96 years, 2 months & 11 days. He was born Aug. 2, 1905, in Quincy, IL., to Riley & Elizabeth 'Lawber' Trogdon. Also preceding-in-death were: his 1st wife, Hazel M. 'Wood' Trogdon; 2 daughters: Wilma Francis & Dolores 'Nelms' Osman; 1 brother, Lloyd Trogdon. Cecil was: * owner/operator of Trogdon Ready Mix Construction Company, Farmington; * member, Memorial United Methodist Church, Farmington; * member, Samaritan Lodge #424, Bonne Terre; * member, St. Louis Scottish Rite; * member, Moolah Shrine Center Reception Committee; * Emeritus Potentate Aide; * Past-President, ECMO Shrine; * member, Farmington ELKS Lodge #1765; * member, Sword of Bunker Hill; * member, Royal Order of Jester Court #81; * member, Moolah Ambassador; * member, Bonne Terre Cryptic Mason #42; * member, DeSoto Commandery; * member, Royal Arch Mason Chapter #129; * member, Gloriest Order of Hillbilly Degree Clan #140 SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His WIFE: Mary Marguerite 'Wood' Trodgon, Farmington; SISTER: Mabel Christner, Quincy, IL; STEP-SON: Milford Eaves, Cuyuga, Indiana; SON-IN-LAWS: Everett Francis & Clayton Osman - both of Farmington; 1 NIECE: Caron Davison, San Luis Obispo, California; 3 NEPHEWS: Monte Christner, Quincy, IL; George Christner, Quincy, IL; Ted Christner, Clayton, MO; 6 GRANDCHILDREN: Capt. Larry Nelms, Farmington; Bruce Nelms, Cape Girardeau, MO; Richard Nelms, Nashville, TN; Jennifer Stone, Kirkwood, MO; Nancy Quinn, Havestron, PA & Gerald Francis, Cincinnati, OH Visitation Sunday, Oct. 14th 4-7 pm; resuming Monday morning @ 7 am & funeral Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at 11 am, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, Farmington, with Rev. John Moore & Dr. David Webster officiating. Interment at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery - Farmington. Memorials to: * The Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children &/or * Farmington Community Manor Nursing Home.
