Carolyn Tyler

Carolyn Tyler, 69, of Bonne Terre, passed away April 7, 2013 at her home. She was born January 12, 1944 in Leadwood. Carolyn was an accountant for 30 years and co-owned Tyler Business Services, she was the Fee Agent for the Bonne Terre License Office for 14 years, a member of the Democratic Central Committee, member of the Democratic Club of St. Francois County, and a Chairperson for St. Francois County Relay for Life from 2006 to 2008. In the 2006 Relay For Life Carolyn was recognized with the per capita award under her leadership, New Beginnings recognized Carolyn in 2008 for her dedication to the Relay For Life and American Cancer Society and in 2006 she was part of the "Great 8 from the Show-Me-State" who attended the ACS celebration on the hill in Washington D.C. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Golden Gillam; and daughter, Kelly Nicole Tyler.Carolyn is survived by husband, Warren Tyler; mother, Juanita Bernice (Jinkerson) Gillam; daughters, Kimberly Tyler, Krista and husband Cary Combs, Kathy and husband Brad Paul; grandchildren, Karly Combs, Katy, Nick, and Lane Tyler, Noah and Tucker Paul; brother, Jim and wife Judy Gillam. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her family, the community and all of her friends. It was Carolyns wishes to donate her body to Washington University School of Medicine to further research andaid in the fight againstcancer. The family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Wednesday April 10, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A celebration of Life will follow at 7 p.m., with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Memorials may be directed to St. Francois County Relay for Life.
