Carolyn Hitzeman

Carolyn Hitzeman, 73, of Park Hills, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at Parkland South in Farmington. Born on March 18, 1951, in St. Charles, she was the beloved daughter of the late Irvin and Eunice (Nichols) Hoskins. Carolyn was a devoted member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Farmington, where she found joy and community. 

Her greatest passion in life was caring for her family, a role she cherished deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Faye Lemen, Leona Hatcher and husband Roy, Cathy Mayfield and husband Charlie, Danny Hoskins and Richard Hoskins.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Hitzeman; three sons, Shannon Marks and wife Mendy, Steven Marks and wife Sarah, Brian Hitzeman and wife Amy; six grandchildren, Tory (Jared) Johnson, Brianna Hitzeman, Brandon Hitzeman, Ty Marks, Bailey (Kraig) Vonahn and Andrew Marks; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Virgil Hoskins, Betty (Donald) Hatcher, Patricia (Gerald) Price; sister in-law, Kathleen Hoskins; brother in-law, Robert Lemen; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.

Carolyn's warmth and kindness will be missed by all who knew her. Her dedication to her family and faith will leave a lasting legacy. 

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Reverend Dennis Conway will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
