Carol Shibley

Carol Shibley, 62, of Bonne Terre, passed away February 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by family and friends who loved her.  She was born February 22, 1960, in Bonne Terre, to the late William McKee and Wanda (Kinnard) Hall.  Carol was of Christian faith.  She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Parkland Hospital in Farmington for 30 years, before retiring.  Carol enjoyed shopping, cooking, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Wanda; step-dad, Paul Hall; sister in-law, Marian Umfleet and brother in-law, Mike Shibley; several aunts and uncles.

Carol was a loving wife to her husband, Richard Shibley; devoted mother to children, Chris McKee, Rikki Shibley and Alyx Shibley; loving nana to Riley McKee, Lilly McKee and Ryker Shibley; sister to Jerry McKee and wife Robin, Verna Hawanchak and husband David; aunt to Stephanie Young and her daughter, Cami; loving daughter in-law to Virgie Shibley; special friend to Mary Jane Crites, Janet Shoemaker and Vicki Mayerhoffer and her fur baby, Ollie.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  The visitation will resume Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Rob Hampton will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed in Carol’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
