Carla Nicholson

            Carla Nicholson, 64, of Desloge, passed away January 18, 2018 at Parkland Health Center North in Bonne Terre. She was born July 25, 1953, in St. Louis, to the late Chester and Lillian Katheryn “Sis” (Kennedy) Hammers. Carla worked for St. Francois County’s Collectors Office for 16 years. She was a loving wife of 47 years, mother, grandmother and loved traveling, music, and camping. Carla was her grandchildren’s biggest sports fan. 

            She is survived by her husband, Thomas Nicholson; daughters, Dena Hart and husband Ed, Krista Kelly and husband John; grandchildren, Mady Hart, Sam Hart, Allie Kelly; sister, Vicki Pullen and husband Bill; their dog, Max; nieces and nephews also survive. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 11:00 AM, Sunday, January 21, 2018, until service time at 1:30 PM. Reverend Mike Barton will be officiating. Interment will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery in Doe Run. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
