Calvin Mendoza

Calvin James Mendoza, 77, of Farmington passed away January 13, 2024. He was born October 6, 1946 in Jeanerette, LA to the late Oday and Mabel (Andre’) Mendoza. Calvin proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Park Hills. He worked for many years at Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Louisiana. He then worked as a laborer and welder for Union Pacific Railroad, where he later retired. He was very proud to be a member of A.A. for 47 years. He sponsored many people and considered it his life’s work.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his three siblings, Eva Mendoza Ball, Mitchell Mendoza and Murphy Mendoza.
Calvin is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Mendoza; two sons, Devlin Graves of Bonne Terre and J. Nicholas Graves and wife Angela of Hillsboro. Several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.
A graveside inurnment will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Deacon Mike Burch will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
