Bonnie Herald

Bonnie Herald, 83, of Park Hills, passed away June 10, 2024, peacefully with loving family around her.  She was born May 2, 1941, in Bonne Terre, to the late Ernest and Belva (Black) Boyer.   Bonnie was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Desloge.  For many years, Bonnie dedicated her time to Emma Willard College as their housekeeping supervisor until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, John Herald; daughter, Sueann Herald; siblings, Wanda Cole, Delbert, Darrell, and Dennis Boyer, Roy Lynn and Mike Stegall.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Theresa Field and husband Joe, Betty Connell and husband Michael, Donna Mercer and husband Jack, Margaret Wardell and husband Scott, Tina Jones and husband Jerry; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Oder, Judi Sumpter and Linda Howell; three brothers, Wayne (Nancy) Stegall, Layne (Alice) Stegall and Dudley (Jo) Stegall; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive. 

The Herald family would like to personally thank Heart and Soul Hospice for all they did caring for Bonnie. 

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Friday, June 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM until time of procession at 12:45 PM.  Interment will follow at Adams Hillcrest in Bonne Terre at 1:00 PM.  Pastor Duane Hampton will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Open Door Baptist Church or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.  Bonnie had a special request to those who will be attending her service; please dress casual with no black clothes, light and bright colors are preferred, no shorts or sweatpants.
