Mr. Bobbie D. Hodges passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at National Health Care (NHC), Desloge, at the age of 81 years, 8 months & 10 days. Bobbie was born Aug. 14,1928, in Jadwin, MO., and was the son of William Franklin Hodges and Lula Bell 'Branson' Hodges. Also preceding in death were: his wife, Ruby Lee Mae 'Mason' Hodges (2001); 2 Sisters: Edna Dickens & Delma Derryberry; 5 Brothers: Winfred; Herschel; Raymond; Clark & Howard Hodges.
Bobbie was a US ARMY Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Bismarck VFW. While in the service Bobbie was awarded: * The Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; * The United Nations Service Medal; * The National Defense Service Medal and * The Good Conduct Medal. Bobbie was a retired Cattle Farmer and a former member of the Festus Church of Christ. Bobbie liked deer hunting; spending time with his family & working on his farm.
Survivors Include: 4 Daughters: Darlene L. Armstead, of Bismarck; Linda L. 'Mrs. David' Savage, of Desloge; Deborah Y. Hodges (& Matt Herbst), of Farmington & Carla 'Mrs. Mike' Stevens, of Bismarck. 1 Son: Robert D. (& Amanda) Hodges, of Bismarck. 1 Sister: Geraldine Stephens, of Salem, MO; 1 Brother: Harold Hodges, of Villa Ridge, MO. 3 Grandchildren: David (& Nettie) Savage, Jr., of Bismarck; Christine Bliss, of Bismarck & Jeffrey (& Jennifer) Savage, of Desloge. Also surviving are 15 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation : Monday, 5-8 p.m., with a VFW Service @ 7 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., April 27, 2010,
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Mike Barton officiating.
Interment With Full Military Honors at : Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. The funeral procession will be led by The Patriot Guard Riders.
Memorials to : Alzheimer's Association.
