Bob Steel, Sr.

            Bob Steel, 77, of Bismarck, passed away July 25, 2016, at his residence. He was born June 7, 1939, in Fort Worth, TX, to the late Randell and Wyona (Splawn) McNairn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bismarck and worked for General Motors for over 30 years. Bob was also an avid wood worker.  

            Bob is survived by his wife of 21 years, LaVerne (Herbst) Steel; children, Bobbie Steel, Jr and wife Barb of Leadwood, Leasha (Mrs. David) Scott of Bismarck, Brenda (Mrs. Danny) Resinger and Melissa (Mrs. Kirby) Laws all of Farmington; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Steel and wife Helen; one sister, Marlene (Mrs. Hank) Rivers.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Wiseman Cemetery in Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bismarck or St. Francois County Relay For Life.
