Billie Mary Doty

Billie Mary Doty, 81, of Irondale passed away February 17, 2017 at Potosi Manor.  She was born February 18, 1935 in Berryman, MO to the late Rosel L. and Lottie M. (Hutching) Barton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Doty; one son, Mark Doty; brother, Roger Dale Barton; three sisters, Verneta Brakefield, Lois Pauselius, and Laberta DeClue.

Billie was considered the poster child for the pinnacle housewife, mom, and friend. She loved to cook and bake for everyone, and everyone loved for her to cook and bake for them. Whether it be at the kitchen stove or around the campfire, that was always the “gathering place” because she did it all with a cup full of love.

Billie is survived by one son, Michael G. Doty and wife Angie; two daughters, Sharon Masters and husband Jerry of Park Hills, and Tamara Doty of Irondale; three grandchildren, Lynsie Momot and husband Jed, Chance Doty and wife Cortney, and Paris Doty; two great-grandsons, Wesley Momot, and Dean Doty; special niece, Peggy Sparks.

Visitation will be Monday February 20, 2017 from 5 pm through 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Adams Cemetery in Frankclay. Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
