Bill Semet Jr.

William "Bill" Semet Jr, 87 of Mineral Pointe, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington.He was born March 18, 1926 in St. Louis and later joined the United States Army where he earned a Purple Heart and 3 Battle Stars.Bill cherished his time spent with the Lees for the holidays each year.He was a member of the Big River Church, VFW Post# 6996 in Potosi, and American Legion in Potosi. Bill is preceded in death by parents, William and Elizabeth (Weiss) Semet Sr.; siblings, Margarett, Dorothy, Evelynn, and Harold; and special friend, Willie Blankenship.Bill is survived by his sister, Arnola Greenstate; special friend Judy Blankenship and family; loving caregiver, Dorothy Lee and Don.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge,Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4:00 PMto 8:00 PM.The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel,Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AMwith Bro. Steve Campbell officiating.Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay with full Military Honors.
