Bill Hill, age 72, of Desloge passed away September 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 27, 1940 in Gideon, Missouri to the late Herschel and wife Ethel (Bell) Hill. Preceding in death are four sisters. Bill was an educator for 31 years; his first four years were with Zalma School District as a P.E. teacher and Coach. He then went to North County School District where he spent 27 years as the Middle School Guidance Counselor. In addition, he taught Drivers Education for 20 years and was the Middle School Football Coach for several years. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Doris (Powers) Hill of Desloge; two sons, Mike Hill and wife Kim of Poplar Bluff, Chris Hill and wife Julie of Desloge; one daughter, Lori Kohm and husband Richard of Desloge; five grandchildren, Grant, Alison, and Nolan Hill, Sydney and Jared Kohm; one brother, Charles Hill and wife Fronia; six sisters, Pauline Berry, Dorothy Toole and husband Rex, Shirley Costephens, Betty Burris, Charlene Campbell, and Margaret Pilsing. Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2013 from 3 pm to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday September 14, 2013 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Chuck Lotz officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested and may be directed to the North County Counselor Crisis Fund in care of Boyer Funeral Home.
