Bill Hagerman

William (Bill) Benjamin Hagerman, born Jun 16, 1954, died Dec 9, 2020 at Parkland Hospital in Farmington.

Bill is survived by his wife, Anita (Hulsey) Hagerman; mother, Mary (Dettmann) Hagerman; sister, Ginnie (Steve) Land-John, both of Council Bluffs, IA; daughter, Megan Hagerman of Phoenix, AZ; son Ian (Haley) Hagerman of Nolensville, TN; stepsons, Ben (Ashley) Gibson of Desloge, MO, Kyle (Tennille) Gibson, of Farmington, MO; mother-in law, Naomi (Reddick) Hulsey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen Grayson, Shannon (Jimmy) Sansom, and Michaela (Wayne) McCarron. Bill is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Cohen, Abe, and Violet Hagerman, Kate, Wyatt, Fedelia, Tucker, Lane, and Brantley Gibson; and many dear friends and family members.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hagerman; grandparents Lou and Ellanora Dettmann, Fred and Eva Hagerman; father-in-law, F. Paul Hulsey and brother-in-law, Mike Grayson.

Bill was born and raised in Council Bluffs, IA where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School (class of 72) and Iowa Western College. Bill enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1975-1977, and worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed golf, cooking, fishing, camping, and traveling with his wife and friends.

Bill was tender-hearted, thoughtful, funny, and giving to his family and friends and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 12:00 PM until Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. There will be full military honors and Rev. Jimmy Sansom will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption in honor of Bill’s memory.
