Beverly Jean Hitchcock

BeverlyHitchcock, 81 of Desloge, passed away April 7, 2014 at her residence surroundedby her family. She was born January 29,1933 at home, in Canton, IL, to the late Lester and Edith (Ford) Slater. Beverly was the past owner/operator of SmokeHouse BB-Q and Hitchcock Discount Boots; she attended to secretarial dutieswith her husband at Hitchcock Salvage Inc.In addition to all her positions, Beverly managed to raise 9 kids. She is preceded in death by herparents; infant son, Patrick; two brothers, Merlin and Melvin Slater; twosisters, Marlena Stockman and Sally Smith. Beverly is survived by her husband, of65 years, Richard Hitchcock; children, Mike (Carolyn) Hitchcock of Lewistown,IL, Dick (Debbie) Hitchcock of Park Hills, Sue (Alan) Ford of Lewistown, John(Donna) Hitchcock of Park Hills, Sarah Hitchcock of the home, Jeff (Dana)Hitchcock of Bryant, IL, Peggy Thrasher of Park Hills, Jerry (Tina) Hitchcockof Farmington, and Patty (Van) Schultz of Park Hills; 21 grandkids; 32 great-grandkids; 2great-great-grandkids; siblings, Betty (Kenneth) Ferris of Canton, Jerry (Bee)Slater of Scottsboro, OR, and Sandy (John) Evans of Joliet, IL. Visitation will be held at C.Z.Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 12:00 PMuntil service time at 2:00 PM. Agraveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL, Friday,April 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
