BeulahM. Lewis, 94, of Desloge, passed away August 17, 2013 at St. Joe Manor. She wasborn September 1, 1918 in Naylor, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents,William and Ethel (Deckard) Whelchel; husband, Guy Cecil Lewis;daughters,Linda Sue Denny and Patsy Joyce McCready; son, Dewayne Lewis; sisters, NormaSells and Mildred Tally; brothers, Elmer Whelchel, Ivan Whelchel and RalphyWhelchel in his youth. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Leadbelt United PentecostalChurch.BeulahM. Lewis is survived by a daughter-in-law, Joyce Lewis; son-in-law, ScottDenny, Jr.; six grandchildren, Laura Wilson, Kelly Gonzales, Veronica Ditch,Carla (Rev. Todd) Dugal, Darla (Rev. Rick) Hayes, and Devra Denny; eight great-grandchildren,Jessica, Alisha and Jimmy, Tyler, Nicholas and Nathaniel, Kaitlin and Corey; threegreat-great-grandchildren; siblings, Homer (Juanita) Whelchel, Rev. Bill(Linda) Whelchel all of Poplar Bluff, Ruby Enis of Arkansas, and Ruth (Ernest)Ponds of West Plains. Visitationwill be Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the C. Z. Boyer& Son Funeral Home in Desloge.Visitation will resume Wednesday9 am at the Leadbelt United Pentecostal Church until the time of service at 11am with Pastor Scott Meeks officiating.Interment will follow at St.Francois Memorial Park.
