Betty A. Watson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Betty (Guffey) Morgan-Watson, who left this world peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family in French Village. Betty was born on Monday, November 26, 1945 to the late Oliver and Hilda (Grammond) Guffey.

Along with her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her first husband George Morgan; siblings, Robert Guffey, Dennis Guffey and Billy Ray Lawson. 

Betty was a devoted wife to her husband, Russ. A woman of many talents, Betty found joy in crocheting, sewing, and traveling, making cherished memories wherever she went. She had an infectious spirit that touched the lives of those around her, especially her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart.  

Betty is survived by her loving husband John "Russ" Watson of 20 years; children, Glennis Ziegler, Robert Morgan and wife Donna; Shari Gerding and husband Jim; six grandchildren, Robert Morgan, II and wife Emily, Amanda Boylan and husband Matt, Brittany Rosener, Aaron Ziegler, Anna Ziegler, and Grayson Gerding; five great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Craft, Margaret Clark and husband Adam; sister in law, Bernice Moore; and a dear aunt Thelma Mahurin. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre from 12:00 PM until service time of 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry Crank officiating. Burial to follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre, Missouri.
