Betty “Sue” Lashley, 85, of Leadwood, passed away December 4, 2016 at NHC in Desloge. She was born May 26, 1931, in St. Louis, to the late William Richard Hall and Desta E. (Romine) Forshee. Sue was a member of Eastside Church of God, and enjoyed crocheting, canning, and volunteering at the church’s food pantry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Lashley, and two sisters, LaVerne Gabbert and Betty Hardy.
Sue is survived by her husband, Eugene Lashley; five children, Paul Lashley and wife Linda of Caledonia, Linda (Mrs. Butch) Marler of Bismarck, Phyllis (Mrs. Randy) Anderson of Oklahoma, Cindy (Mrs. Larry) Usery of Leadwood, and Donna (Mrs. Mark) Bunch of Farmington; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM, at the Eastside Church of God in Leadwood. Reverend Ryan Retzer will be officiating and assisted by Pastor Terren Anderson. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
