Betty Luig

Mrs. Betty D. Luig, 92 formerly of Bonne Terre passed away March 7, 2013 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center. She was born November 2, 1920 in Mankato, MN. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Bonne Terre and the Friends of the Bonne Terre Memorial Library. She was a teacher for the Pattonville School District for 35years and continued to share her love of teaching after her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Veva (Churchill) Dempster;husband, Gregory Luig; two brothers, Adrian and Darrell Dempster. Betty is survived by three children, Jeffrey (Gillian) Kubel of West Rockport, Maine,Nancy Kubel of Missouri, Janice (B.J.) Tucker of Cedar Hill, MO; two grandsons,Jacob and Matthew Kubel. Many nieces, nephews and a dear friend, Dr. Paul Monizalso survive. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Tara Nash officiating. Intermentwill follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowersmemorials may be made to the First Congregational Church or the Bonne TerreMemorial Library.
