Betty Jean Skaggs

Betty Jean Skaggs, 87, of Bonne Terre passed away January 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born August 6, 1930 in Esther, MO. Betty was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Bonne Terre. She was employed with Commerce Bank in Bonne Terre, from where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest L. and Essie (Mills) House; loving husband, Charles W. Skaggs; two sisters, Dorothy Coffman and Jenny Cramp; brother, Lindell House; half-brother, Glenwood Skaggs.

Betty is survived by her son, Rick Skaggs and wife Betty; grandson, Cory Skaggs and wife Anita; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Skaggs; special niece, Charlotte Stegall and husband Steve.

Visitation will be Monday, January 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. David Wiant officiating. Burial will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church.
