Betty D. Smith

Mrs. Betty D. 'Striebel' Smith passed away late Friday evening, August 14, 2015, at her Lenoir Health Care Center residence in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 83 years, 4 months & 6 days. Betty was born on April 8, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the daughter of Bernard Striebel and Eleanora 'Schuermann' Striebel. Also preceding in death was the father of her children, R. Morrison Smith (Aug. 5, 2009); and a brother, Bern Striebel.

Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington.

Survivors Include : a daughter, Helen M. (& Bryce) Cripps, of Columbia, MO. 4 sons - Robert Morrison (& Julie) Smirh, Jr., of Florissant, MO; Charles M. (& Christy) Smith, of St. Peters, MO; Col. David M. (& Susanna) Smith, of Maple Hill, NC; Thomas M. Smith, of Farmington. 2 sisters - Mary Lou (& Bob) Govreau, of Farmington; Lois (& Bob) Schrant, of St. Louis. 1 brother,James (& Pam) Striebel, of St. Louis. 1 sister-in-law, Anne Striebel, of St. Charles, MO. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Funeral Mass : Tuesday morning, 10:00 a.m., August 18, 2015

at : St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farmington, with Fr. Rickey Valleroy officiating.

Interment : New Calvary Cemetery, Farmington
