Betty Carr
Betty Carr, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, at Woodlawn Meadows in Hastings, Michigan surrounded by her loving children. Betty was born in Flat River, Missouri to the late Lewis and Anna (Meridith) Shannon. Betty earned her degree in Elementary Education and taught for several years.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Burton Carr.
She is survived by three children, Dr. Rebecca VanValkenburg, Diana Nash and Jim Carr along with other family.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington with Pastor Brian Jenkerson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on the Leadington Free Will Baptist Church parking lot directly across from the cemetery and go in procession for a 10:15 service. Arrangements under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
