Bernard Angstrom

            Bernard Angstrom, 82, of Desloge, passed away January 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 12, 1935, in Gilbert, Iowa, to the late Andrew Angstrom and Teresa (Miller) Willygully. He was of Catholic faith and retired from Dow Chemical Company after 30 years of employment. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Bernard Angstrom, Jr.; siblings, Pete, Lois, John, Clem, Sy, Joe, Katheryn, Mary, Rose, and Martha. 

            Bernard was survived by his children, Debra Angstrom – Shaffer and husband Tony, James Angstrom and wife Nelle, Tim Angstrom, Jeff Angstrom and wife Kara; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. 

            A private family service will be planned for a later date, under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
