Barbara Wells

            Barb Wells, 80, of Frankclay, passed away April 1, 2016 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. She was born June 10, 1935, in Farmington, to the late Harry Lawrence and Emma (Helms) Johnson.

                        She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Dean Wells; daughter, Lily Barbee; brother, Harry Lawrence Johnson, Jr.; one sister, Addie Sue Cureton; and one son-in-law, Bob Sheldon.

             Barb is survived by three children, Connie Sheldon of Arnold, Lorrie (Mrs. Mark) Merrill of Irondale, and Dennis Wells of Frankclay; seven grandchildren, Amy (Shawn) Burks, Jill Allen, Jessie (Garrett) Evans, Mickey (Robbie) Buesking, Mark (Kristy) Merrill, Jr., Jonathan Sheldon, and Sidney Wells; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeannie (Darrell) Cole; and one very special son-in-law, Gary Barbee.

             The family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 12:00 PM to service time at 1:00 PM. Reverend Mike Barton will be officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
